In our studio in Augsburg, trained master tailors work to handcraft your sustainable business essentials with the utmost care. From cutting to sewing to finishing: at SANOGE everything happens in one place.

In our production facility in Germany, we know our tailors personally and know exactly which materials are used for your business wardrobe.
We are committed to a modern revival of the art of tailoring that is in line with the latest sustainable technologies. We create jobs and training positions in Germany and actively support the skilled trades.

Has your figure changed and the dress or blouse is a little tighter? At SANOGE there is no reason to look for new clothing. We equip all products with additional seam allowance. This means your favorite dress or blouse can grow up to one or two sizes without much effort – and always in an optimal fit. Because we believe: change should not be a disadvantage!

That's equivalent to the weight of 110,000 fully loaded container ships. That's how much CO2 is emitted every year by the textile and fashion industry... ending up as dirty emissions in our atmosphere.

Worldwide, the fashion industry is the second-largest polluter. This is primarily due to significant overproduction, long transportation distances, and toxic chemicals used in dyeing fabrics.

30% Global overproduction

42 million tons of plastic waste

In addition to this significant amount of overproduction, modern textile production annually generates 42 million tons of plastic waste. An estimate, as much of it goes unrecorded and is illegally disposed of. One reason why our oceans are already suffering from an unimaginable amount of microplastic particles.

Every third garment in 2023 is overproduction. These include T-shirts, dresses, blouses, jeans, and others, which are brand new from the factory and immediately destroyed. Burning these textiles generates additional CO2.

60,000 km of transportation

52 pairs of hands

Many diligent individuals contribute to the creation of a shirt, sweater, skirt, etc. On average, there are 52 workers along the textile production chain. Many of them earn less than US $1.00 per day. Despite increased media attention, it has still not been possible to solve the major problem of poverty and child labor in the textile industry. Even with certificates, companies often do not know where their products truly come from.

By the time a conventional garment ends up in your hands, it has traveled a long way: an average of 60,000 km. This transportation distance is equivalent to 1.5 times the circumference of the Earth. Production chains are opaque and complex. Individual production steps are conventionally carried out where human labor is cheapest.

With minimal transportation routes, we're working to ensure that cotton doesn't start growing in Europe in the future. Just kidding! ;-) We primarily source our fabrics from European suppliers. Everything is manufactured in one place: our own workshop in Augsburg. No large warehouses, no middlemen. From our workshop, we ship your next favorite piece directly to you without detours.

Only what is demanded is produced. Just in time. This is possible thanks to our AI-based 'Urban Manufacturing' approach. With state-of-the-art algorithms, we also reduce our material consumption on a per-piece basis. Our technical system calculates how the individual patterns can be cut most efficiently from the fabric rolls: thus, we maximize the yield from every meter of fabric.

Our workshop in Augsburg is named: highest standards in terms of labor and environmental protection. We, as a team, see ourselves as an entrepreneurial family. We work and live together - and share our greatest passion: fashion. Therefore, we treat each other fairly. Additionally, we are very proud to have been officially recognized as a training company by the German Chamber of Crafts since 2023.

Our tailors and master tailors are named Jana, Marlene, Nguyen, Rebekka, Jessica, and many others. We know them personally. And if you want to know exactly who made your dress, blouse, or jacket - we'll gladly tell you.
